I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCTMB), and a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP).
As a student at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL, I was immersed in a challending course of study that coverd not only massage techniques but also anatomy & physiology, kinesiology, clinical pathology & microbiology, and rehabilitation & therapeutic exercise. Aside from my initial training in Swedish, Pre-Natal, and Deep Tissue/Myofascial/Sports Massage, I have taken continuing education courses in Cupping Massage, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Stretching and Functional Neuromuscular Therapy, and Thai Bodywork.
My training has allowed me to utilize my services in the medical field and I have worked alongside chiropractic physicians, M.D.s, acupuncturists and physical therapists. I am currently practicing with Dr. Nancy Dearinger at Wellness Chicago in the River West neighborhood. I am an instructor in the Massage Therapy Department at National Personal Training Institute in the Aon Center, as well.
